In this continuation of her series on glaucoma, Eydie Miller­-Ellis, MD, discusses the clinical principles and tests for assessing patients with the disorder. Dr. Miller-­Ellis’ discussion provides a broad review of the foundational evaluation, including patient history, risk factor analysis and the fundamental eye exam, as well as describing the use of gonioscopy, angle grading perimetry and other assessments to gauge the degree of glaucoma and its effects.
